The Sabatti SSP-223 bolt-action rifle represents the culmination of Sabatti's years of experience in the field of precision sporting rifles. The Sabatti SSP-223 stands out for its tactical design and for the objective features that make it suitable for any type of precision sporting shooting.
The action of the SSP-223 rifle is designed to handle the .223 Remington caliber with maximum reliability. The three-lug bolt is machined from a single block of special high-strength steel, then heat-treated, chrome-plated, and ground to achieve extremely low contact surface roughness and ensure smooth, quiet operation. A robust 17-4PH steel extractor offers superior levels of resistance and safety when using high and very high-pressure loads. The rifle feeds through Sabatti 7-round polymer magazines.
The main feature of the new Sabatti SSP-223 is its 7075 aluminum alloy (ERGAL-55) chassis, redesigned within the SSP rifle family, yet lighter than the previous ones. The rifle features an AR-15-derived barrel guard with an M-LOK slot.
The skeletonized aluminum alloy stock is foldable, has an adjustable cheek piece, and is equipped with a Bag Rider on the underside for supported shooting. Connected to the chassis via a threaded connection, it can be removed and replaced with an AR-15/M4-type buffer tube for the installation of aftermarket AR-15-compatible stocks.
The Sabatti SSP-223 rifle has a cold-hammer forged, fluted barrel with conventional rifling, is 24" long with a 22 mm muzzle diameter. It features a 1”-20 UNEF thread for the installation of accessories such as flash hiders, muzzle brakes, compensators, or sound suppressors.
The rifle comes standard with a Picatinny rail for mounting riflescopes; the trigger is a Sabatti three-lever Match trigger.
